Your Elfia Themes license key unlocks automatic updates for your theme: once it is activated, new versions arrive right in your WordPress dashboard, like any other theme update. This guide walks you through it. It takes about two minutes.
1. Find your license key
Your key looks like ELFIA-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. You can find it in two places:
- in the e-mail you received after your purchase, and
- in your account, under My Account → My Licenses, where you can copy it with one click.
2. Install the theme
If the theme is not on your site yet, download the ZIP from My Account → Downloads. Then in your WordPress admin go to Appearance → Themes → Add New Theme → Upload Theme, choose the ZIP and click Install Now, then Activate.
Updating from an older copy? Upload the new ZIP the same way and click Replace active with uploaded. Your content and everything you changed in the Site Editor stay in place.
3. Activate your license
- In your WordPress admin, go to Appearance → License.
- Paste your license key.
- Click Activate.
That’s it. The page will show your license as active, and from now on theme updates appear under Dashboard → Updates. When a new version is ready, you’ll just click Update.
Troubleshooting
- “Invalid license key”. Check for an extra space at the start or end, and make sure you copied the whole key, including the
ELFIA-prefix. - “Activation limit reached”. A Single Site license activates on one site. If you moved to a new site, deactivate the old one under Appearance → License first, or write to me and I’ll reset it.
- The update doesn’t appear. Open Appearance → License and click Check status, then look again under Dashboard → Updates. You can always download the latest ZIP from My Account → Downloads and upload it by hand.
