This one is about the twelve things I reach for on an ordinary Wednesday, which is a far less photogenic subject and a much more useful one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-border-color is-layout-flow wp-container-core-group-is-layout-737d7122 wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\" style=\"border-color:var(--wp--preset--color--additional);border-width:1px;margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--40);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--40);padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30)\">\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Actually Works<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<ul style=\"padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);line-height:1.9\" class=\"wp-block-list has-headline-font-family has-normal-font-size\">\n<li>Two fabrics, repeated: washed linen for warm months, lambswool for cold ones.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One colour story \u2014 bone, oat, clay, a single dark neutral to ground it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Everything must work with the same two pairs of shoes, or it does not come home.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If it needs an occasion, it is not part of the capsule. It is a costume.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-headline-font-family\" style=\"font-style:italic;font-weight:400\">Why linen keeps winning<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-headline-font-family has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"line-height:1.8\">Linen creases the moment you look at it and I have made a kind of peace with that. It softens instead of wearing out, it takes dye in a way that never looks flat, and after roughly forty washes it becomes the single most comfortable thing in the drawer. Everything is folded rather than hung, in three stacks by weight, and the whole thing lives on two shelves.
